The combined distribution of Beyond Home Entertainment (BHE) and Magna Home Entertainment (MHE) makes them the largest distributor of DVDs in the Southern Hemisphere. They distribute to more than 10 major Australian retailers with a high rotation order cycle.
 
Nortech's GoFar EDI software solution provides mailboxes and translation of data for B2B compliance to 10 major retailers, with links to BHE's Host ERP and Warehouse Management systems. GoFar EDI includes translation methods for direct real-time integration with these host systems.

Case Study - To manage the Supply Chain of an Australian Retailer using China for offshore processing

The challenge was to provide a system to a major Australian Fashion Retailer to manage the freight movements of cargo from various points around Australia and Asia, through warehouses, until delivery at stores. The supply chain comprised over thirty suppliers (30) around the world and seven hundred (700) stores in Australia. The system was required to receive files from the host merchandising system and distribute Purchase Orders and Allocations to the suppliers. As well as produce all necessary documentation and labels and track the cargo as it moved from factory to store.

To achieve this, Nortech used GoFar Connect, a web based system with associated Printing engine GoFar Spooler.

The challenge was to provide an EDI solution to link three business components of Beyond Home Entertainment (BHE). Namely: to combine (1) The EDI sales orders from seven retailers with (2) The Microsoft NAV accounting system and (3) with the warehouse Management system.

 The aim is to process: Product catalogue updates, Orders, Shipment notices, Electronic invoices, all without manual data entry and paper.

Nortech supplied and commissioned an EDI system for Kosmea trading with David Jones. This implementation includes connectivity to their other business systems: MYOB enterprise; as well as to their remote warehouse. The Solution is multi-location and multi-warehouse.

EDI Orders received are sent directly into their Accounting system without data entry and are passed through to the warehouse without manual intervention required.
